The Reunion 2008 business meeting minutes were read and approved.

A nomination of Co-hosts for the upcoming 2012 Reunion in San Antonio, TX, Bill Bayliss and Bill Hill as Co-2d Vice Presidents was accepted and approved.

There was a discussion on location and timing of future reunions. No definitive policy was adopted. September/October time frames seem to work the best for most.

RAFINCO was acknowledged for an outstanding hosting of this 2010 reunion.

Concerns were expressed about RAFINO recruitment and sustaining membership into the future. Hank Neill volunteered to attempt some specific follow-up actions to address this.

The RAFINO meeting adjourned at 1450 hours to move into joint session with RAFINCO.

JOINT RAFINO/RAFINCO BUSINESS MEETING - 11 SEPTEMBER 2010

RAFINCO President Bill Tolbert call the joint session to order at 1500 hours.

Bill Bayliss presented information on the San Antonio 2012 Reunion, 4-8 October. Reunion Hotel will be the renovated historic Saint Anthony.

There were three proposals for the 2014 joint reunion.

  • Jim Martens - Washington, DC
  • Jeff Penick - Old Downtown Las Vegas, NV
  • Bill Tolbert - Baton Rouge, LA - Selected by majority vote as the preferred location.

Discussion on future cruises showed no interest in continuing the ‘off year’ cruises. There was substantial interest to include a Mississippi River Boat cruise in conjunction with the 2014 Baton Rouge Reunion.

RAFINCO was offered highest compliments from all in attendance for the Tacoma Reunion.

Meeting adjourned at 1600 hours.

Respectfully submitted, Dave Mikkelson, RAFINO Recording Secretary
