Will "Your Internet" disappear on 9 JUL 2012?

Dave Mikkelson provided this important notice.  The FBI is working to disrupt an international scheme that had plans to "infect" thousands, yea millions, of computers worldwide.  The FBI has provided a quick test to check whether your computer has been infected.  The quoted email below is valid and provides non-harmful links to the test and to the FBI site and its recommendatiions of what to do if you test "infected":

In November, 2011, the FBI got a court order to keep some Internet Servers which had been used for hacking, to keep them running under FBI oversight.

The reason was that the hackers had also infected 100's of thousands of PCs world-wide with a virus which went through the bad servers to access the internet.

Now, on July 9th, 2012, those servers will be shutdown (unless the court order is extended), and if your PC is infected you will suddely loose access to the Internet.

I strongly recommend that you check your PCs to see if your infected.

There are a number of tools available on the net which will do that. Here is a simple one recommended.  Just click on the link below and a new browser window will open. If the background is red, the PC is infected. If green, you're OK.
