SGM JOHN W. DONLEY passed away 1/21/2023.

John Wilbert Donley, age 84, died on Saturday, January 21, 2023, in Gilbert, AZ. He is survived by his wife June L. Donley, two daughters Kathleen Beneski and Stephanie Donley and granddaughter Sophia Beneski.

John was born on October 31, 1938, in Wheeling, WV. He joined the Army and served for 20 years attaining the rank of Sergeant Major in the Finance Corps. John served two tours in Vietnam and several tours in Germany before he retired in 1979. He earned several distinguished military awards, including the Legion of Merit and Bronze Star. After retiring from the Army, John joined FDIC where he was a senior grade bank examiner for over a decade. After John retired from FDIC, he and his wife traveled extensively on numerous cruises, including a memorable trip around the world.

A private funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2023, at the Valley of the Sun Mortuary and Cemetery in Chandler, Arizona.
