SFC MICHAEL DEAN COX passed away on Saturday, August 3, 2019.  He was not a RAFINO member.

Michael Dean Cox, age 67 passed away on August 3, 2019 at Hardin Memorial Hospital, Elizabethtown, KY.

Mike is survived by his wife Jennifer and his sons Douglas, Albert, Christopher, his siblings; Paula Shearman, Mona Malensek, Wanda Roberts, Richard (Nick) and his grandchildren.

Michael was born on January 28th 1952 in New Jersey. He was retired from the US Army after 20 years of service. He graduated from Indiana University-Purdue University, Indianapolis. He began his enthusiasm with computers in the early 80’s which continued until his passing. He lived and traveled around the world before settling in Kentucky.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Richard (Dick) Cox and Gertrude (Trudy) Cox. Graveside Services will be held in Denver, Colorado at Fort Logan National Cemetery on August 16, 2019 at 9:30 a.m.

At the time of his passing Michael was working as a DA Civilian at Ft. Knox and was living in Elizabethtown, KY.  He was stationed at DFAS, Indianapolis when he retired from the Army (circa 1994).

Some of his previous assignments in reverse order were:  266th TFC Schwetzingen, Germany, Ft. Ord, Taegu, Korea, Ft.
