2447, 10 Dec 2018

FMNet Members:

1.                   (New) On behalf of Colonel Hoerner, recently a few of the FMNet subscribers received an email notifying them that they are now members of the Council of Colonels (CoC) Community of Interest (COI).  Being a member of the CoC COI provides a secured platform for the quarterly Council of Colonels meeting, allowing the sharing of ideas and communicating messages to facilitate discussions specific to the General Officer Board of Directors.  For the members who received the email, please accept the invitation and feel comfortable with all information shared.  The community is limited to Sergeants Major, Command Sergeants Major, promotable Lieutenant Colonels, and Colonels in Career Management Field 36, as well as GS15 DA Civilians in the Comptroller Civilian Career Program (CP11).

Please visit the CoC, https://www.milsuite.mil/book/community/spaces/afms/coc, to become familiar with the COI, and for all new users of milBook, please visit the FMNet where you will find helpful user guides.

2.                   BEST OF MILSUITE AWARDS VOTING is now open with the FMNet nominated in the Best Learn category, “The milSuite solution that best provides a learning resource on milSuite and serves as a knowledge management exemplary.  The winning solution might be narrow in focus or something that reaches the entire milSuite community.”

Additionally, the Financial Management School’s very own, William Butler received a nomination in the Best Advocate category, “The milSuite use case or user solution that demonstrates the greatest enthusiasm and dedication of publicly supporting and promoting their efforts on milSuite.”

Here at the FMS, we are ecstatic about the recognition of the hard work and efforts of the entire Finance and Comptroller Community regarding this nomination; however, the efforts to provide our subscribers with the latest and regulatory substantiated material shall not dwindle.  Please take a few minutes to visit the Best of milSuite Awards 2018 Nominees link and vote for your favorites, by selecting the, “Vote for Your Favorites Today” hyperlink located in the top center of the Best of milSuite Awards page.
