On May 7, 2007 of cancer. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Evelyn Studevent Langhorne; his four children, Karyn Langhorne Folan, Michele Langhorne, Thomas O. Langhorne III, and Ellyn Langhorne Pearson, and his five grandchildren. He is also survived by his four siblings, Marion Reavis, Lucy Hicks, Howard Langhorne and Charles Langhorne all of Lynchburg, Virginia, and a host of other relatives and friends.
