Heard from Stan Gillaspie, who is recuperating from hip surgery:
I have had a couple of questions about my surgery..here is update.. Had left hip replacement on 11 April, thought it was going to be the new frontal surgery.. didn't happen, didn't do the old one either sort of in between. Now instead of three weeks recovery, it will be six weeks or more. Can't drive a car, can't do stairs, can't put over 50% weight on left side. They found bone damage from the cancer/chemo, I have two screws in the socket to keep it in place and a ring around the femur to keep it from expanding. Everything seems to be going ok, just takes time. I appreciate all the thoughts and prayers. Wish good health to everyone.
Amazing the lengths some folks will go to to get out of having to do PT!
