FOAC 1-72 Class Picture

2684, 30 Apr 2020

I stumbled on this 48 year old picture of my advance class.  The file is a PDF format and is viewed more easily if the image is rotated 90 degrees clockwise.

There are still some of my classmates in RAFINO who might wax nostalgic over it.

Ah, yes, those were the days, indeed.

I recall we had a smal gourmet group which met periodically at a rotating member's home to whip up fancy vittles.

I recall one time when we were makine tournados with Bearnaise and I was to make the bearnaise sauce.  Every one got upset when I allowed the egg yolks to curdle.  But after a couple glasses of wine (or was it bourbon), no body cared much, what with all the alcohol-infused roatating!.

I found the FOAC 1-72 yearbook intact in a closet.  Anyone want it published here?

Yup - waxing indeed. Great group of folks. Several enjoyed being together in special celebration at our 40th class anniversary at the San Antonio RAFINO Reunion in fall 2012. Regret some are no longer with us. Angle of pic probably appropriate - we did tend to get 'tipsy' together in those days. Missing is LTC(R) Rick Hahn who waa with us for 1/2 a year as a USAR officer - not present for our graduation pic. I had the honor/privelege to remain at the USAFS on the faculty and was the Course Director for FOAC1-75; the last 9 mos course that then included an opportunity to gain an MBA degree from University of Northern Colorado.  Dave Mikkelson
