FMNET Message 27 JULY 2018

2331, 30 Jul 2018

FMNet Members:

1. Is your mission as a Soldier to maintain the standard or do you have a drive that resonates in your belly, looking to invoke a change.  Change comes in many forms and situations such as the passage of Public Law 216, as an amendment to the National Security Act of 1947, required that "comptrollers" serve throughout the Department of Defense (DOD).  If this has struck an accord with you, read more about this program and individual’s testimony on the FMNet.

Training Opportunities:

1. FMNet highlights the Ultimate Training Environment System (UTES) Community of Interest (COI).  For all users who are not familiar with UTES or how to leverage this tool to conduct home station training, a blog posted within UTES COI provides an overview.  (https://www.milsuite.mil/book/community/spaces/afms/utes/blog/2017/11/27/utes-overview)  We encourage our users to leverage this superb tool; where financial managers (military and civilian) can train on identical systems used in real-time to provide Operational Contract Support (OCS)/Procure-to-Pay Business Process at home station.  Users can train together in the same room or across the globe.
