2323, 16 Jul 2018

FMNet Members:

1. Summer is the time of year that individuals’ thoughts often linger towards days at the beach and relaxation.  However, I would encourage and remind all our subscribers to stay vigilant with their tasks and efforts.  Too often, we never run far enough to find our second wind.  Submit to your passion and dreams and allow yourself to be surprised with energy that comes out of you.

2. Read the latest on the Army approved a new physical fitness test for all Active, National Guard, and Reserve Soldiers that is highly correlated with combat readiness.  The Army will execute the test through U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) and the U.S. Army Center for Initial Military Training (USACIMT).

Training Opportunities:

1. FMNet highlights the Ultimate Training Environment System (UTES) Community of Interest (COI).  For all users who are not familiar with UTES or how to leverage this tool to conduct home station training, a blog posted within UTES COI provides an overview.  (https://www.milsuite.mil/book/community/spaces/afms/utes/blog/2017/11/27/utes-overview)  We encourage our users to leverage this superb tool; where financial managers (military and civilian) can train on identical systems used in real-time to provide Operational Contract Support (OCS)/Procure-to-Pay Business Process at home station.  Users can train together in the same room or across the globe.
