Many changes were clarifying in nature. A number of changes were made to bring the organization out of the 90's and into the 21st century, recognizing the ubiquity of email and internet access recognizing that "snail mail" and the printed page are secondary preferences for communication with the membership).
The most significant changes involved implementing the board's recommendation to remove the formal distinction between commissioned and non-commissioned officers when nominating and installing the board of officers and revert to the previous VP term of two years (i.e., back to electing a president every 2 years))
