FMNET Message 15 JUN 2018

2303, 18 Jun 2018

FMNet Members:

1. As this week concludes, I am reminded that change is consistent and persistent.  Now and then, you get an opportunity to work for or with a real leader whose confidence allows them to stand alone and emits courage through all their decisions.  A leader who inspires all around them and raises the competency of their entire organization.  An individual that displays all of these characteristics and more is a Mr. Bobby Patterson.  Mr. Patterson, good luck, and best wish to all your future endeavors, which everyone at the Financial Management School (FMS) know you will be hugely successful at; your presences will be missed.

Training Opportunities:

1. FMNet highlights the Ultimate Training Environment System (UTES) Community of Interest (COI).  For all users who are not familiar with UTES or how to leverage this tool to conduct home station training, a blog posted within UTES COI provides an overview.  (https://www.milsuite.mil/book/community/spaces/afms/utes/blog/2017/11/27/utes-overview)  We encourage our users to leverage this superb tool; where financial managers (military and civilian) can train on identical systems used in real-time to provide Operational Contract Support (OCS)/Procure-to-Pay Business Process at home station.  Users can train together in the same room or across the globe.
