John BAIN on Dialysis

184, 17 Jul 2009

John BAIN has returned home from 12 days in the hospital and 30 days rehabilitation. He says that as you get older it takes longer in rehab.  Shirley med evacuated me to the hospital 18 May.  I had acute kidney failure.  My kidneys, with the help of a diuretic, drained all the fluid and most of my sparse muscle from my body.  I am now going to the kidney dialysis Lab 3 days a week for about 4 hours a setting to get the trash and fluid out of my body, the function my kidneys once did. It is not a difficult procedure, but boring and time consuming.  But, I have survived a stroke, cancer, diabetes, leukemia and rheumatoid arthritis, so this kidney problem is just another test that GOD has challenged me with.  While I was in rehab, Shirley moved us to an assisted living facility.  She now enjoys eating because she does not have to cook.  What a wonderful life some people have.  The phone and E-mail address have not changed.
