101st Finance Gander Crash Memorial Update #5.

December 12th marks 31 years since the horrible plane crash that took the lives of 248 101st soldiers, including two Finance Soldiers: Cpt. Luis Avillan and Sgt. Michael Murray, and eight crew members.

Over the last year we have been working to re dedicate the Memorial that has been in storage for years at Ft. Campbell. I am happy to report we have finally worked out all of the funding and transportation issues and we are ready to reset the Memorial Stone on the grounds of the 101st FMSU. Our goal is to have an appropriate re dedication ceremony sometime in April, 2017. The specific date will be announced later.

I want to pass on my sincere appreciation to: John Medley; Sharon Medley; Kay Null; John Null; Bruce Prater; Kevin MacDonald; Jeff Green; Eric Davis, and the staff of the 101st FMSU for all their hard work in this effort. Air Assault!
