1.                   (Updated)  The FY19 Army Financial Management School (AFMS) Credentialing Opportunities, sponsored by the Army Financial Management School new deadline is March 31, 2019.

1.             (New) Recently posted to the FMNet and associated Communities of Interest (COI), “Questions Tactical Commanders Should Ask Their Comptrollers (S8/G8/RMs)” please review and join in on the discussion.

2.                   (New) SAP TERP10.  For all Army Finance and Comptroller Professionals with a completed undergraduate degree, SAP TERP10 is a fully funded course designed to give attendees an overall understanding of the ERP system.  Branch Code 36 Officers and Noncommissioned Officers, and CP 11 Civilians are eligible.  There are a few available slots left for class 001-19, with a starting date of February 11, 2019 and a completion date of March 8, 2019.  All interested parties need to submit their application no later than December 28, 2018.

3.                   Here is a reminder, there are 10 days until the end of the Continuing Education and Training (CET) due dates.  Review the DOD FM Certification COI, for the dates and times of all upcoming Defense Collaboration Services (DCS) session.

4.             The Planning, Programming, Budget, and Execution (PPBE) course will be kicking off class 002 January 7, 2019.  For all attendees, please review the class specific site within the PPBE COI for all appropriate course material.

5.             Only 1 in 5 Soldiers serve long enough to retire.  The legacy system provides a higher annuity (2.5% vs 2.0% per year of service) for those who reach full retirement, but Blended Retirement System (BRS) provides an automatic 1% contribution and up to 4% matching of Thrift Saving Plan contributions.  Soldiers have 10 days to opt-in on the BRS.

6.                   The Principles of Cost Analysis and Management (PCAM) instructor here at the FMS is eager to start class 002 on January 28, 2019.  Please review the Welcome Letter and associated material on PCAM COI.
