2. Due to the impending Hurricane Florence, Mr. Morgan will not be speaking at the Senior Leader Lecture Series this Friday, September 14, 2018, at the Soldier Support Institute (SSI) Auditorium. The series has been canceled/postpone and will be rescheduled to a later date.

3. The Assistant Secretary of the Army for Financial Management and Comptroller (ASA (FM&C)), Comptroller Proponency Office is now accepting applications for the Defense Comptrollership Program (DCP) Cohort 2020 NLT 18 October 18.  The DCP is a long-term training (LTT) opportunity for Civilians and Military personnel from all services and career programs.  The DCP is open to grades GS-11-13. However, GS-14 personnel may apply.  Army Military selection priority is for Active and Active Guard Reserve (AGR) Officers and Non-Commissioned Officers (NCO) in ranks senior Captain-Major, Sergeant First Class, Master Sergeant, and junior Sergeant Majors.

4. Submit your application now for Training with Industry (TWI) Program, a work-experience program designed to provide extensive exposure to managerial techniques and industrial procedures within corporate America to competitively selected officers and non-commissioned officers.  Training received usually is not available either through the military school system or through a private university system.  Following the participants' tenure at the commercial company, they are placed in a validated utilization assignment for two years.  Participants also incur an active duty service obligation of three for one computed in days.

1. (NEW) As stated by a senior Financial Management (FM) officer, S8 and G8 (DIV to ASCC) need the Financial Management Tactical Platform (FMTP) to be successful.  With that thought process, a combined receipt of $2.2M from the Army Budget Office (ABO) and US Army Financial Management Command (USAFMCOM), the GFEBS Project Management Office (PMO) is pursuing the acquisition of 1,696 laptops through the Computer Hardware, Enterprise Software, and Solutions (CHESS) Consolidated Buy. 2. (NEW) Read the latest news on the Business Process Standardization (BPS) team. 
 a. On 21 and 22 AUG 2018, the United States Army Financial Management Command (USAFMCOM) BPS Team hosted a workshop for the Government Purchase Card (GPC) and Contract Vendor Pay (CVP) process standards at the Emmitt J. Bean Federal Center in Indianapolis, Indiana.

 b. On 23 AUG 2018, Civilian Pay (CIVPAY) was signed into policy and officially became the second Business Process Standardization (BPS) process live on BPS’ Army Process Portal (APP). The APP hosts a number of CIVPAY-specific tools, resources, and outputs, including the process cycle memorandum, process details, and interactive process maps.
