LTC Eugene N. RAMSEY to TAPs

LTC Gene Ramsey, of Arlington, VA, passed away peacefully at home on August 29, 2017. He was surrounded by his loving family. Gene served in the Army Finance Corps for twenty years. Upon retirement from the Army, he continued his career in the private sector. Eugene was currently employed by Thompson Gray, Inc., as Senior Vice President, Business Development.
 
Gene loved to read and had acquired an extensive library. He enjoyed a good baseball game and cheered for his team, the Philadelphia Phillies. A perfect afternoon for Gene was reading a book, listening to a Phillies game and enjoying an iced tea on the porch of his summer home in Ocean City, NJ.
 
Gene is survived by his loving wife, Leisa Ramsey; devoted daughter, Gillian Leigh Ramsey (John P. Sheahan); granddaughter, Virginia Leighton "Ginger" Sheahan; and siblings: MaryAnn Ramsey Gaines, William Ramsey, Thomas Ramsey, Dolores Ramsey Steele and Rosemarie Ramsey Grier. Eugene was predeceased by his adoring mother, Regina McGuire Ramsey and cherished aunt, Dolores McGuire.
 
A memorial service will be held at the Fort Myers Old Post Chapel followed by internment, with Full Military Honors at Arlington National Cemetery. Date and time to be determined
