LTC LEROY A. LEGER To TAPS

Lt. Col. Leroy Anthony Leger, US Army (Ret.) entered into rest May 23, 2008 in San Antonio at the age of 91. He was born May 25, 1916 in Beaumont, Texas to the late Lawrence Leger & Madeline (Arceneaux) Leger. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Maxine; son, Anthony Lawrence Leger, his wife Marjorie; daughters, Melinda Lundgren, Melissa Leger; grand children, Telise, Renee, Michael, John, Joshua and great-granddaughter, Elaina. Lt. Col. Leger joined the Army in 1936 and retired in 1957. He served all over the world from the Panama Canal Zone to Japan. In the Army of Occupation Japan he served under Gen. Douglas MacArthur.
