New Member - LTC KEITH L GUDEHUS

1328, 18 Feb 2015
Please welcome LTC KEITH L GUDEHUS as the latest member of our RAFINO family.

Biographical Resume:

I served in all of the typical company-grade finance officer positions from cash control officer to detachment commander in units including the 18th Finance Group, the 82d Finance Battalion, the 208th Finance Battalion, and the 266th Theater Finance Command.  I also served as the executive officer to the 266th Commander from 2000-2001.  As a field grade officer, I was the support ops officer and executive officer for the 101st Soldier Support Battalion before assuming duties as the Director of the Finance Captains Career Course at Fort Jackson.  I was assigned as an instructor in the Command and General Staff Officer Course during my last assignment before retiring in 2011.

I completed three combat tours: Operations Desert Shield/Storm (1990-1991) with the 18th Finance Group, Operation Iraqi Freedom (2003-2004) with the 101st Soldier Support Battalion, and Operation Enduring Freedom (2008-2009) as an individual augmentee where I served as a military advisor to two Afghan general officers.

My military education includes Basic Airborne School, Jumpmaster School, Air Assault School, and Command and General Staff College. I hold a masters degree in accounting.  My wife of almost 26 years, Jackie, and I have four daughters: Casey, Natalie, Amy and Zoe.

After retiring in 2011, I moved back home with my family to help run the family farm in northeast Missouri.  Like probably happens to all, my calendar filled up quickly.  In addition to farming, I've become the head coach for the varsity girls basketball team at my high school alma mater and the Emergency Management Director for the county. I also volunteer as an assistant football coach at the high school and I'm a member of our local Knights of Columbus and Veterans of Foreign Wars.  Although I loved the Army and made some great friends, I rarely have the time to miss it very much.  It was a wonderful life, though.
