Prez Sez - Nov 2012

1217, 01 Nov 2012

First of all, "WOW, WHAT A REUNION"!! Hat's off to Bill Bayliss, Bill Hill, and the San Antonio team! Those of us that were there had a great time (my picture provided by Claud Wallace was taken at the reunion after three days of fun)! For those of you who did not attend look on the website for info on the 2014 REUNION.

Many thanks to Bill Smith and Terry Arndt for serving four years as President and Vice President. Your time and effort these past four years are greatly appreciated by the membership. Hat's off and many thanks to Dave Mikkelson for many years service as our Treasurer. Claud Wallace is staying on by popular demand.

The new slate of officers is following a hard act. Robby Robson as 1st Vice President has also in the past been the man behind the screens maintaining and updating the website and providing automated support to the Reunion. Thank you for all you have done in the past, and for all you will do in the future! Our new Treasurer, Imre Volgyi is filling some big shoes. Imre, his wife Sharon, Glenna and I go way back ( lived across the hall from each other in Heidelberg 1978/79 ). It's great getting back together again.

RAFINO is a great organization made up of a lot of good friends that we have made thru the years. If you have drifted off these past couple of years, you are missing out on a lot of fun and companionship. I will also be sending this out via E-mail to try and capture those of us who are not looking at the Websitewww.rafino.org. If you know of someone that is not a member, give them a call, or send them an E-mail.

RAFINCO is hosting Reunion 2014 in Baton Rouge. Please put it on your calendar. RAFINO is hosting Reunion 2016 "Somewhere"! Got any ideas? Location should be close to a major Airport, should be a fun place, needs to be affordable. We are looking for ideas and volunteers. Please contact me with your ideas.

Stay well, all the best to you and your families,

Jim Martens
