"Windows Support" Scam

Have you ever received a call purporting to be from "Windows Technical Support" and claiming that they have "detected virus signals from your virus-infected PC and we want to help you fix it"?

If you have or ever do receive such a call, hang up!  It is a scam.

The scammers want to convince you to download a piece of software that will allow them to take complete control of your PC and then charge you something to give control  back to you.
