Subject: Finance
Corps Birthday
We just complete a great ceremony that celebrated the 226th anniversary of our
Corps. We all can be proud of the outstanding contributions that our
Finance Warriors make daily. There is no doubt that our soldiers and
civilians will meet all the challenges of the future as they continue to
"Support and Serve." Please
give your soldiers and civilians a big "HOOAH" and "WELL
DONE." Col WALKER

From: CSM Jesse T. SABLAN,
Hooah,
COL WALKER, and appreciate your thoughtfulness!
"The Pride
in You!" Just to share with the rest of the Corps, Team Korea
participated in the Black Beret Ceremony on Thursday at 0830, hosted by the
Eighth United States Army CG, LTG ZANINI and reviewed by the CINC,
GEN SCHWARTZ. We are Proud to announce that Team Korea is the
first finance command to don the new symbol of excellence. In doing so, we
represented the Finance Corps soldiers, leaders and civilians throughout the
world. Also fitting in this regard was that out of the several MSCs in Yongsan,
the 175th Finance Command was the only MSC to participate in this Eighth Army
historic ceremony of the new millennium. A few miles North, our
mighty Team 177 performed magnificently (as expected) with the "Second to
None" Warriors at 2ID. In sum, we are in step with Army
Transformation.
The great
Americans and great Koreans "on point" in the Land of the Morning Calm
send their birthday wishes to all as well.
On behalf of COL
GIBERT and the outstanding Team members of Team Korea, I wish you good
fortune and wishes during these special occasions. Hooah - "One Team,
One Mission." "The Pride in You!"

REMARKS BY THE PRESIDENT TO EMPLOYEES AT THE PENTAGON
September 17, 2001 this Question was posed.
Aren’t we proud of the
answer given!
Q Mr.
President, the Taliban apparently has refused to hand over Osama bin Laden to
the Pakistanis. Does this mean that the U.S. will be prepared to move
militarily?
THE PRESIDENT: Patsy, I want to make it clear to the American
people that this administration will not talk about any plans we may or may
not have. We will not jeopardize in any way, shape or form, anybody who
wears the uniform of the United States.
All I can tell you is that Osama bin Laden is a prime suspect, and the people
who house him, encourage him, provide food, comfort or money are on notice.
Last Tuesday -- last week, I spoke clearly about our nation's policy. And
that is, we're going to find those who -- those evil-doers, those barbaric
people who attacked our country and we're going to hold them accountable, and
we're going to hold the people who house them accountable; the people who think
they can provide them safe havens will be held accountable; the people who feed
them will be held accountable. And the Taliban must take my statement seriously.
Yes, ma'am.
