TAPS

The below listed members of our Finance Family, whether members of RAFINO or not, are only those about whose death we have been notified since the publication of our immediately previous newsletter, i.e., the Fall 1998 issue.  We regret to announce the passing of these good and old friends and pray that they may rest in peace.

Day is done, gone the sun, from the lake, from the hill,
from the sky.
All is well, safely rest. God is nigh.
Thanks and praise, for our days, 'neath the stars,
'neath the sky.
As we go, this we know, God is nigh.

It is certain that the above listing of the passing of Ted Pickett is also reported in the newsletter of the 72D Armor Regiment.  That outfit will be noting with sadness the passing of Their Honorary Colonel of the 72d Armor Regiment-the position that Ted held for several years right up to the day of his death.  Ted served with that regiment with distinction during the Korea War.  He never forgot them nor they him.  Ted served the Finance Corps with the same enthusiasm and dedication.
