#2. - The Frank Tryon Contingent

(Occasionally, Frank Tryon has proudly updated your editor on the progress of his offspring.  It is about time to share with you a very brief rundown of justification for his great pride in them.  Frank, on sending in his update commented that when doing so he was reminded of a Radio program of yesteryear -- entitled, One Man's Family.  There is no doubt that good example and solid parenting pointed this generation towards responsible government service!  What better contribution to our society?)

Frank, Jr.  A graduate of the U.S. Merchant Marine Service Academy, retired from the US Navy as an 06 three years ago with 30 years active service.

John E.  A career in the US Army.  DMG, ROTC.  Retired in grade of LTC in 1995.

Medical Doctor, James R.  A graduate of the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, and a graduate of the Univ. of NM Medical Academy in 1979.

William J. Class president of the USM Academy in 1971.  LLD from Univ. of New Mexico 1950. 

Richard T.  A graduate of the US Naval Academy, a Colonel, USMC, currently the C.O., 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit (only four such outfits in the US Navy - one on each coast and two deployed at sea). 

Michael P.  An 06, US Navy. Graduate USNA 1977.  Earned his LLD in 1996.  In a Supply Corps joint command at Tucson, AZ. 

Stephen P.  Major, US Army, graduate of the USMA in 1983, currently assigned at Pentagon (Special Projects). 

Mary Ann.  41 Years old.  Handicapped but greatly beloved by Frank and Marian and the whole family.
